Sadhguru Siddharudha Maharaj lived the life of a true ascetic, dedicating himself to spiritual pursuits from a very young age. Believed to be an incarnation of Shiva, one of Hinduism's Trinity deities, Siddharudha renounced his home and family at just six years old to embark on a quest to find his Satguru, or spiritual master. He eventually became a disciple of the enlightened Shri Gajadandaswami, serving devotedly at his ashram.
As recounted in Siddharoodh Charitra by Shivadas, Siddharudha received his guru's blessings and was tasked with embarking on a pilgrimage to help those in need, dispel ignorance, and guide seekers toward spiritual enlightenment. He traveled extensively, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, sharing wisdom that led to spiritual awakening and liberation for those who were open to his teachings. Ultimately, he settled in Hubli, where his profound spiritual knowledge and sainthood quickly drew recognition. People from neighboring regions came to him seeking solace, the fulfillment of desires, and spiritual guidance.
Siddharudha Maharaj passed away in Hubballi in 1929, and his tomb is located at his ashram.
